Little Feet Soccer Schools
is dedicated to technical development.
There are three decisions that a player has to make when in possession
of the ball during a soccer match: 1) When to dribble 2) When
to pass and 3) When to shoot. Little Feet Soccer Schools (LFSS)
believes that there should be an emphasis placed on building a
sound foundation upon these three skills and has formed its philosophy
around that belief.
Fifty percent of the game of soccer is one on one competition.
It's important to introduce tricks, moves and turns to the players
at as young an age as possible so as to aid in the process of
making the moves feel more instinctive. As the players improve
these skills they will then learn where on the field it is more
appropriate to use each move and skill. In which third of the
field do you use the move? Is the defending player in front of
you, on your side, or behind you? Certainly all of these questions
should occur to a player, but more importantly, they should have
the foundation to quickly and correctly execute the answers.
The players should also practice combining moves. It is the special
player who can run past other player with the ball. The moves,
tricks and turns will help players change direction and put their
opponent off balance.
Knowing that soccer players use seven surfaces on their bodies
(the head, the chest, the thigh and the foot, which has 4 surfaces
of its own - the instep (top), the sole (bottom), inside and the
outside), LFSS builds technical/foundational skill sets using
combinations comprising the seven body surfaces with a strong
emphasis on creative one on one attacking.
